Have enjoyed working with regional school health teams. There are 5 teams across the province. Each team has a CASS & ASBA zone rep reporting back on school health to their working zones. Connecting education and health to better support healthy school communities.

What committee have you enjoyed working on (does not have to be a wellness committee!) and why do you think it was successful?
The wellness committee we started this year is a lot of fun! Our focus this year is on engaging staff in fun wellness activities like bowling, spinning, dinners, running, yoga, Zumba, RAK month (car washing, singing, tims deliveries), and golf. Great staff bonding!
Successful committees that I have worked on were goal oriented, efficient and comprised of invested and passionate members.
We have enjoyed being on committees that are not too large, with a strong leader, the members have passion and ideas and have chosen to be on the committee. There is a mutual trust among the members that things will get done. We also like when there is a set agenda and the meeting is purposeful, you know things will get done and the meeting ends on time or before the finish.
As a member of the Fooothills Healthy Active Schools Committee for the last few years, I have enjoyed networking with the other supports in our Foothills community and Everactivie Schools to create a more purposeful design around the pillars of health in our school. in the division and a grant. We meet 3-5 times per year to discuss how we are going to move our division forward and for the last year plan the Foothills Healthy Active Schools Symposium. This will be our 2nd year of hosting the Symposium and I feel this event has helped to move forward Health in our schools through student leadership!
