To answer my own question - give back to the community! One school that I worked with did a neat christmas stockings idea. They bought new socks and hung them from every staff mailbox. Employees routinely added positive notes and comments to each other's stockings. Before the holiday break, they all "opened" their stockings and donated the socks to a local homeless shelter.

Healthy Holiday Practices
I find the little trinkets often given out in many offices for "Secret Santas" and other gift exchanges take up so much time, money and space but soon end up being forgotten. Does anyone have other examples of memorable, fun and healthy employee holiday practices?
