Many of us are familiar with resiliency—the ability to bounce back after a set-back. What about resiliency in organizations? How has your workplace fostered a culture of resilience, or how do you hope to foster it?

Resiliency has been a hot topic for a while now! We’ve probably all heard about ways to build our own resiliency—like by accepting inevitable change or practicing self-care—but this isn’t always translated to workplace culture. Just like people with a lot of personal resiliency, organizations with a culture of resilience can maintain high levels of performance during times of stress and uncertainty.

Need some inspiration on the workplace resiliency front? The blogs and articles below are here to help!

  • It’s been almost three years since the Fort McMurray wildfires and I’m still in awe of the community’s resilience. This blog describes the experience of one Fort McMurray teacher and wellness champion in the aftermath of the tragedy. It also outlines five simple things that can build a resilient organization.
  • This blog identifies three traits of resiliency that are must-haves for individuals as well as organizations.
  • This Harvard Business Review article outlines ways that organizations can learn to develop a culture of resilience.

I’d love to hear what a resilient workplace culture looks like to you! What are some ways that you and your co-workers have promoted a culture of resilience?
